Private Violin Lessons for a Musical Fall Semester!
In these recurring weekly private lessons, students will improve their skills on the violin and will learn general music knowledge. Beginning-advanced lessons available.

These ongoing 1:1 weekly classes are geared towards students who are just beginning their musical journey or are looking to further their learning on the violin. Students without prior musical experience will learn the basics of playing the violin. They will learn to hold the violin, the bow, and proper care for their instrument. They will learn or build upon their knowledge of rhythm and note reading.

Homework Offered
Students are encouraged to practice most days to ensure steady progress. Assignments will be given when appropriate, and may include music theory worksheets or researching composers and general music topics.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

All learners should have a stable internet connection and use a computer or laptop (preferred) or tablet to connect to classes. Phones do not work well with Zoom and I will not be able to hear the instrument well enough for a successful lesson. Enabling Original Sound for Musicians: For computer: Please install the Zoom app on your computer. 1.) Prior to the start of the first lesson, go into to Zoom settings 2.) Click the audio tab 3.) Under the Audio Profile section, select Original sound for musicians (you will only need to do this once!) 4.) Once this has been enabled in Settings, the Original Sound for Musicians button can be toggled on and off (the button will be located on the upper left corner of the screen), please do this at the start of every lesson. For tablet: Please install the Zoom app on your computer. 1.) Prior to the start of the first lesson, select the More button underneath three dots 2.) Under Settings, select Meetings 3.) Under Audio, toggle Use Original Audio on (you will only need to do this once!) 4.) At the start of the meeting, select the More button underneath the three dots (this will be under the in-meeting toolbar at the top of the page). 5.) Click Enable Original Sound, please do this at the start of every lesson. If you are having issues Enabling Original Sound for Musicians, we can go over them during the lesson! ~~~ Lesson books will be recommended after the first lesson. Typically, a Suzuki Violin Method book will be assigned and can readily and affordably be purchased online or at a music store. Students with more experience will also be assigned a scale and etude book.
