Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 9
This is an ongoing one on one math tutoring class. This class is meant to help individual learners with math skills. Sometimes a student just needs a different approach or some individual help in order to excel and flourish in a given area.

I have fun games and activities to help students enjoy learning. When students are happy and engaged, they are more apt to learn.

Many students need extra help, understanding, or practice with math facts: addition, subtraction, multiplication or division facts. Working with geometry, fractions and decimals, or finding the LCM (lowest common multiple) and GCF (greatest common factor) often cause confusion. I have fun games and activities to help reinforce these facts and concepts. If there are specific fact families that are tough and need practice, we will work toward getting those up to speed.

If your student needs help with homework or specific assignments, please let me know and send me a copy of the math homework or assignments. I would be happy to assist with whatever would be most helpful for the student. I want to connect with the learners and let them know that I care about them individually and and want them to succeed.

Learners or parents should send a message upon enrollment to discuss the needs of the learner (specifying areas that come easy for the student as well as areas in which the student struggles). I would be happy to do a quick assessment at the beginning of class to know where it would be best to begin working.

Learning Goals

Students will feel more confident in their math skills after working together.
