Is your child learning Latin and having a tough time? Or maybe they just need a bit of extra help studying for a big exam? Maybe they are pretty good at it, but they are just stuck on one or two concepts. I can help. I use a variety of methodologies, and share some really neat tips and tricks to help them remember vocabulary and word endings; to help them correlate Latin to English and see the connection between English parts of speech to Latin cases; and to improve intuitive translations; and even more! I always have a slide show so they can *see* what they are doing. We drill repetitively so they can hear and remember. We practice on screen so they can be physically, visually, and aurally involved. More so, there are so many associations they can use to make those connections to learn and remember. Most of all, we discuss. Discussion and conversation are the keys to retention and are, in themselves, the best part of education. Your student's voice has value in my classroom, and I promote the exchange of ideas, questions, and comments. I also stay in close contact with students and their families. Class is never over once the Zoom class ends. Each student has a different need at the time of a tutoring session, so I will need to know what they are working on to prepare each tutoring session. I always try to make it fun, and to be encouraging. I remember my own struggles when I first started Latin. I am so grateful I had a Latin teacher who was invested in my education, and I want to pay that forward for your child. I want to help. And yes, I love Latin! Learning Latin, as a whole, is highly beneficial. The skills learned in this language acquisition promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and an appreciation for ancient cultures that still have an impact on our modern world. I know - personally, and from students, and the parents of students - that not only did the student's Latin test scores improve, the skills acquired through learning Latin have the tendency to translate into other academic subjects and help increase mastery there, too. For this class, I am offering 30 minutes @ $12. I also offer different class lengths: 1 hour @ $20; 1.5 hours @ $30; 2 hours @ $40. I can also do longer times, if necessary, or simply schedule multiple classes... whatever the student needs.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their Latin skills and their grades in their Latin classes. Moreso, they will learn and connect the skills acquired here to other academic disciplines as well.

Supply List
Learners will need to let me know at least 24 hours before the tutoring session with what they need specific help. I will design the session and tailor it directly to their needs. Beyond that, there is nothing they need to supply. In fact, I will give them all the materials I create so they can keep them and refer to them as necessary.
