PLACE VALUE! Who is ready for some fun and lots of learning? I strive to make any type of learning fun, but also meaningful for the learner. I am confident your learner will not only enjoy this class, but take away a lot of place value knowledge. In this course, we will work together to solve place value problems. We will focus on numbers in the ones and tens places. After solving these problems, it will unlock a secret color and number to color in on student's mystery picture! When the lesson is complete, students will have the ability to see what their mystery picture was colored into! Students will have the opportunity to share their picture at the end. Base 10 blocks will be used to model place value and help us build numbers. I have included printable base 10 blocks that you can print and cut out. These are completely optional and only needed if your learner wants to build along with us. If you decide to use them, please have them printed and cut out before class begins. I have also included the mystery picture that we will be using during class. Please have that printed and ready.
