Class Experience

As with all my classes, this class is a safe place to learn about slow mindful yoga. There are no judgments and no experience is needed. Yoga is a personal journey, I am here to help your learner on that journey.

This is a slow mindful yoga class that helps you deal with the stress of your every day. This is not fast-paced yoga but rather a slow yoga with pauses throughout the class to reflect on the poses. The pause and reflection are just as important as the pose as it gives our body and mind connection and improves our self-awareness.

We will begin each week with a short discussion and set an intention for our yoga practice. Intentions are powerful statements that help us our manifestation power, mental clarity, and focus. They help with our overall state of mind and perspective. I encourage my yogi students to use this intention throughout the week.

If your learner would like yoga we will progress into a warm-up, a slow mindful practice with pauses to reflect on our body, and finish with a meditation (savasana). Finishing up with a guided meditation to help them to train their mind to stay focused in the present moment.

If your learner would like a meditation class we would then move into gratitude and then a long meditation.

Meditation is not about stopping our thoughts but rather focusing our thoughts on the present, such as our breath.

I will post to the classroom each week our mantra/intention and they will follow these themes throughout the year are:

January/February - Positivity
March/April - Self-Worth
May/June - Motivation
July/August - Forgiveness
September/October - Mindfulness
November/December - Gratitude

This class will set your tween on a journey of being mindful, self-aware, and self-compassionate. Each of these will help your tween to find who they truly should be. When we are ourselves (rather than the version we think we should be) we can make connections with the right friends, the friends that uplift us, make us feel safe and there for us when we need them.

I have set the time to 35mins but this can be adjusted according to the needs of your learner and your schedule.

We meet once a week but if you want to subscribe to multiple times slots that I offer please feel free!
