Students will learn how to draw figure poses by using basic shapes to plan out their under sketch, which helps achieve more correct proportions and build. We will then construct our full figure step by step on top of our under sketch.

Class Experience

Beginner - Intermediate Level
This is a private lesson on "Learn How to Draw Female Figures and Poses." An intermediate version.

The Class will be structured in the following order:

A) Students will learn how to draw a dynamic figure/pose by using basic shapes and lines to plan and build their sketches. They will learn which shapes are best to use and how to utilize them.

B) An under-sketch taught with the "Mannequin Technique" helps achieve correct proportions for your figure or character.

C) We will then connect our shapes to the figure's fullness on top of the under-sketch.

D) The female figure poses have their unique structure. Tips will be noted on how to better understand a dimensional pose.

F) Students will learn the structuring of 1-2 female figure poses, depending on time and efficiency. We will be learning in steps within the student's ability and efficiency!

After completing this class once, students can continue to enroll and coordinate with me on suggested topics they want to learn about within poses and figures.

I will demonstrate how to complete this lesson using the digital program FireAlpaca. This program is not required for students.

Besides school, I attended additional lessons at Lascaux Academy from January 2015 to March 2017, where I gained knowledge in digital media and programs, hand sketching, drawing concepts, and diverse design types. From August 2018 to 2020, I took Illustration and Design 1 & 2 classes that covered different media and design techniques. During these courses, I worked on both digital and traditional projects, including character design, logo design, apparel design, and more.
