This is an ongoing, one-on-one science class! We will cover several topics that will engage your child and increase their understanding of science concepts.

Class Experience
US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
Does your child have an inquisitive mind and a desire to learn more about scientific topics? In this one-on-one science class, students will learn about one or more of the following topics: sun and shadows, moon and stars, light and sound, animal traits and characteristics, and plant traits and characteristics. Each lesson will include a short video and either a read-aloud, craft, experiment, or comprehension activity. We will also spend time discussing what we have learned and doing additional exploration into the topic if needed. Topics will be comprised of units consisting of 3-6 lessons, so be sure to let me know which topics your child is most interested in to ensure we cover what your child is most eager to learn first.

Parents can message me after enrollment to let me know which topics their children are most interested in: sun and shadows, moon and stars, light and sound, animal traits and characteristics, and plant traits and characteristics.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I have a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Elementary Education and was a full-time classroom teacher for 11 years. I taught grades K-3, but first grade was my favorite! I have also been an online ESL teacher and a substitute teacher. This year I am excited to start a new teaching adventure: homeschool!
I live in Illinois with my husband and two boys. We love playing outside, watching movies, and going to Disneyworld! I also love cooking, baking, reading, and drawing.
