US Grade Kindergarten - 4
This class meets once a week. The content covered in this course will be based on student grade level. Older students are accepted. The pace at which the course will be taught will be determined by the student. The modified thematic curriculum references the Next Generation Science Standards. I ask the parent to share relevant student data that will impact our work. I am a 23-year licensed Instructor. I have had some of the best training in the country on autism and gifted students under Dr. Temple Grandin. I have been privileged to instruct thousands of students. 96% of my engaged students are successful on state assessments. I hold a Science Degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. Currently, In addition, I have a Master’s in Instructional Technology pending with a 4.00 GPA. I have taught all science courses from grade Kindergarten to post-graduate courses to include Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, AP Biology, Microbiology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Physical Science, Environmental Science and many others.
Homework Offered
The students will have homework after each class. They will be asked recall and open-ended questions where they will have to apply what they learned to correctly answer the question. I ask that the students review what was what they learned every day. Optional: I ask that the students dedicate 10-15 minutes of study time each day.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
The students will be assessed as they engage in discussions and as they interact in a question-answer session at the end of class. The students will periodically be given quizzes and/or formative assessments. This will guide my instruction. I will review what the students need.Grades Offered
