Private Reading Tutoring 1-1 (Ongoing)

This class is designed for Kinder-3rd grade students who are struggling with foundational literacy skills. For this course, they should already know the names and sounds of at least 20 letters of the alphabet. 

The first meeting will be an assessment to determine what skills the student will be focusing on. Assessments can take anywhere from 30-50 minutes and may not last the full length of the class. All other lessons will last 50 minutes. 

Each session after that will be tailor made for the student. 

Those classes will follow this structure:
2 Minutes: Welcome and go over the plan for the day
7 Minutes: Skill review and practice
25 Minutes: Phonics skill practice and reading
10 Minutes: Comprehension skill practice OR Phonemic Awareness skill practice
5 Minutes: Sight Word or Vocabulary review
1 Minute: Wrap up


Each Class:: Introduction and Assessment or Individual lesson for the enrolled student


Refund Note:
1. If a schedule change is needed for a one time event, I need to know by the Saturday before because I fill in my gaps with last minute one time classes.
2. If a permanent change is needed I will need a 2 week notice.
3. If your learner is unable to attend a class, a full refund will be given if you let me know 24 hours in advance. A 50% refund between 24 hours and 6 hours before. After that I am unable to give a refund.
