What is Guided Reading? Guided reading is an instructional practice or approach where teachers support a small group of students or a student one on one to read a text independently. We will focus on before reading, during reading, and after reading skills. I taught in my classroom on a daily basis for twelve years. I have taught the Kindergarten curriculum for eight years and I have taught the First-Grade curriculum for four years. I have also taught ESL on an online platform for three years.
There will be an optional activity for added practice between classes.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be informally assessed during each class.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
