In this private 1:1 class, students will read & spell CVC words. This class is designed for students who are familiar with letter sounds and are ready to put them together into words. This class is offered once/week for 6 weeks.

Hello! My name is Teacher Courtney. Welcome to my class! This private 1:1 class is designed for students who are familiar with letter sounds and are ready to put them together into words. Students will read and spell CVC [consonant-vowel-consonant] words. Examples: cap, mat, bag, etc. This class is a great introduction or review class for short vowel sounds and word patterns. I will be using a PowerPoint presentation to teach this class. Weekly Class Schedule Class 1/Week 1: Short A CVC Word Patterns Class 2/Week 2: Short E CVC Word Patterns Class 3/Week 3: Short I CVC Word Patterns Class 4/Week 4: Short O CVC Word Patterns Class 5/Week 5: Short U CVC Word Patterns Class 6/Week 6: Review Classes 1-5: CVC Words and Short Vowel Sounds These lessons are divided into 3 sections. In the 1st section, students will practice reading CVC words. Examples: cat, leg, dog, pig, etc. Students will sound out and blend the letters into words. In the 2nd section, students will practice spelling CVC words. In the last section, students will practice reading simple sentences with support from Teacher. Class 6: Review This lesson is divided into 4 sections. In the 1st section, students will practice reading CVC words. In the 2nd section, students will practice spelling CVC words. In the 3rd section, students will match pictures that represent the corresponding short vowel sounds. In the last section, students will practice reading simple sentences with support from Teacher.
