In this one time session, I will use Acadience Reading assessment tools to determine a benchmark reading level, phonemic awareness, decoding, segmenting, fluency and comprehension skills, followed by a consultation and plan moving forward.

If your child is having ongoing difficulty with reading and you're not sure how to help, this reading assessment and consultation will guide you in the right direction to ensure your child gets the support they need. In addition to my primary/junior teaching qualifications, I have also completed the following certificate programs related to reading instruction: - Overcoming Dyslexia, Yale University - Basics of Decoding and Spelling, International Dyslexia Association - Acadience Reading K-6
This assessment is suitable for all students, but would be especially helpful for struggling readers to identify areas of weakness, as well as students who have been diagnosed with a specific reading learning disability such as dyslexia.
