Hello future piano learners! This is a multi-day course designed for learners with no background in piano/music or very little background coming in. It is a great class to follow my course Early Piano Exposure. It is a course meant to be repeated over and over again — like taking weekly piano lessons in a studio. After completing one four-week section, I will reach out to you about scheduling another consecutive section to continue your learning. Fluency in piano takes years but within just a few months, your learner will know Old MacDonald Had a Farm and Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star! We will use a set of Faber Piano Adventures — the primer level to include lesson, technique, theory and performance — to get a solid foundation in playing the piano. It is the first four landscape purple books listed on there and you will need them in hand before beginning this class. I will assist you with ordering them once you sign up for the class. The complete set usually costs less than $25 before shipping. Learners will develop skills in song and technique performance, music theory, reading music, proper posture, and more! The instructional books offer structure and we go at the learner’s pace and style. I am a quirky teacher with curly hair and a playful personality — I find ways to make learning fun. I am gifted in working with all ages 4-18. Because the class offers flexibility and creativity in learning, ages 4-18 are welcome. Learners who are very young (4-6) may require some assistance from an adult to be successful in completing the course. I recommend buying stickers for ongoing positive reinforcement for the learner. Weekly lessons are sold in groups of 4 lessons, and you can renew your time slot and package as often or as little as you want! I will reach out to see if you want a private link for renewal so that you can keep your exact time on the schedule. Please communicate any questions to me to make sure this class is a fit for you! I’m on deck to help.
