In this musical theater oriented singing lesson we will work with your singer on the basic core techniques of singing and acting that go into singing musical theater songs! This is a good trial class to becoming a weekly student of mine!
Class experience
This class is geared specifically towards students who already have shown interest in singing in some way and are interested in singing songs from Broadway and Disney musicals. (formal training isn't required!). This class will have a specific focus on musical theater singing so there will be a focus on acting exercises and warm ups as well. Students will learn: *Proper breathing techniques and posture for singing in general *Vocal warmups and acting warmups for musical theater singers *Special techniques we need when singing and acting at the same time in a theater performance * How to tell a story through our song in a musical theater number by connecting our lyrics, vocals, and acting
We will look at sheet music on screen sharing for songs that we choose in class.
