1 hour per week. Homework will be assigned each week to reinforce what was taught in the tutoring session. If students have any questions about the assignment please email me.Grading
I do grade the homework assignments. Final grades are offered, upon request. Letter grades are calculated based on a percentage taken from homework assessments and/or projects. A certificate of completion will be available, upon request.Class Experience
Music theory is an essential part of understanding the fundamentals of music. Since theory is the fundamental backbone behind the learning process of a musical instrument, it will equip your student to excel at playing a musical instrument and composing music. Incorporating music theory into your private music lessons will be extremely important developmentally for your learner. Possible topics to consider: Note values Rhythm Identifying and reading notes on the treble clef and bass clef Musical notation Intervals Circle of Fifths Key signatures Scales Roman numeral analysis Harmony Triads Inversions 7th Chords Voice leading/part writing
