Homework
1 hour per week. Homework will vary depending on student goals. Composition students could be given composition exercises to work on to learn a concept, or they may be given specific areas to work on in their projects. Music theory students may be given practice work for new skills. The amount of work assigned will be determined by specific goals. If the student has a specific project with a deadline, the work load may be more intense than a beginning student who is learning the basics.Class Experience

Learning Goals
Students will leave the class with a deeper understanding of harmony, melody, and lyrics, as well as being able to recognize song forms. Students will be encouraged to continue finding inspiration and writing songs as well as continue with suggested listening of songwriters.
My lessons provide a supportive, creative space for students to discover the joy of making music. Whether you're new to the instrument or continuing your studies, our goal is to foster your love of music through tailored instruction and a strengths-based approach.
