Class Experience

These one-on-one private lessons are designed to support every individual student to strengthen their skills as a jeweler to create earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and all kinds of accessories with beads and wire. With personalized attention and the ability to pace the lesson at exactly the student's needs, private jewelry lessons can unlock an entire world of creating beautiful pieces for years to come.

Private lessons are a great opportunity to help an shyer young artist thrive in a quiet and welcoming setting, or to fully customize support for any student who wants to have a 100% personalized experience when developing their skills. Private lessons also help to focus in on detailed answers for a student who has a lot of questions that they'd love to ask a professional jeweler.

Suggested topics for a personalized jewelry lesson include:
• "How do I make my first pair of earrings, or my first necklace or bracelet?"
• "I already know how to make jewelry, but how do I make it look more professional?"
• "I thought I knew how to make something but it keeps breaking. Help!"
• "I feel like I make the same kind of jewelry over and over again. How can I create something new?"
• "What are all of these tools that I have, and how to use them for making jewelry?"
• "How can I use beads to create other accessories such as key chain charms, bookmarks, or other gifts?"
• "How can I start a business selling jewelry? How can I take good photos for online selling, and where can I sell my jewelry in person?"

These are just some starter ideas; when you sign up for this private lesson, you can pick any combination of these questions that interest you, or we can cover any topic you want!

This listing is for students who wish to have multiple lessons to strengthen their skills. Suggested total lessons are 2, 3, or 4 lessons, depending on what topics you'd like to cover. Lessons are usually one a week, but we can schedule any kind of time that works best for you.

***PLEASE NOTE: When you book this private lesson, I will be sending you a message within 1-2 days to ask for more details about what your child would like to do in our lesson together. Please check your email preferences to ensure that you'll be notified when a teacher contacts you. ~~My passion for jewelry making goes back to over 18 years ago; what began as a fun hobby has evolved into a profitable business where I can share my art with jewelry enthusiasts around the world. My goal as a jewelry teacher is to support every student to become empowered jewelers, creating pieces that they love and being proud of their work. ~~
Learning Goals
By scheduling a 1-on-1 jewelry lesson, students get to define their own goals of what they want to accomplish. As a whole, students will learn how to consider design when crafting pieces, how to craft in a productive work environment, how to challenge themselves with new designs, and how to continue strengthening their jewelry making skills.
