With over 25 years of experience in the healing, visual, and performing arts, Simmy Raz Blue offers personalized experiences tailored to each individual's unique needs, specializing in methods that transform the lives of creatives and those navigating personal loss and other challenges. As a late-diagnosed autistic adult, Simmy particularly enjoys working with individuals who perceive the world differently, helping them express themselves, build self-awareness and self-advocacy, and meet their needs through creativity and meditative practices.
Simmy’s professional journey includes founding and directing a visual and healing arts company in the Pacific Northwest, establishing a high school dance department and a healing arts retreat center in the Northeast, and teaching art and yoga to youth in preschools and high schools. They have also consulted on curricula for neurodiverse students and contributed to initiatives for marginalized communities. As a memorial artist, Simmy spent over a decade creating personalized memorial paintings and supporting clients through bereavement.
Their credentials include 500-hour certifications in Yoga Teaching and Yoga Therapy, Thai Yoga Massage, Usui Shiki RyoHo Reiki, and a Home Care Aide certification specializing in end-of-life care and bereavement. Over the past decade, Simmy has deepened their expertise in earth-based healing techniques through immersive study with indigenous medicine teachers.
Simmy's artwork, puppetry, and performances have been showcased in national exhibitions in New York, San Francisco, Portland, Tacoma, and Seattle. Their artistic training spans Classical and Russian Ballet, Modern Dance, and studies at the Kirov Ballet, Martha Graham School, Isadora Duncan School of Dance, and Joffrey Ballet, as well as at Bennington College, the late Marlboro College, and through long-term apprenticeships with mentors in the visual and performing arts.
