Private Math Teacher (1:1): Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trig, Pre-calc, Homeschool

As a former homeschooling parent (K-12) and classroom teacher, I am offering to be your child's teacher or tutor. Please ask if you would like to find a time different from what is listed. I teach in the classroom on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so my daytime availability  is mostly Mondays and Wednesdays. I can do afternoons on Tuesdays and Thursdays (Eastern time). Just ask!

I am passionate about providing instruction to help students master math topics.  Students can simply bring me their questions, or we can work through curriculum together. In the classroom I teach Saxon Math, but am open to other curriculum. One possibility is using Khan Academy or Delta Math which are both free online services.

My teaching style includes a lot of discovery learning.  I like to help them put the pieces together. In addition, I have found many students benefit from "talking through the problems" with a teacher.  When necessary, I will provide instruction on any foundational knowledge that is preventing them from being successful.  If you are interested in grading, that is something we can talk about.
