Customized dance lesson for beginner to advanced dancers. (Gymnasts and Figure Skaters Welcome!)
Class experience
Class can be made custom to the learner or groups interest in styles, goals and focus. We can incorporate stretching, technique, pirouettes, ballet/jazz steps or learning to connect movements to become more fluid. If you would like to learn a short piece of choreography we can do that too! Class will begin with an introduction followed by a brief discussion about the learners goals, interests and abilities. This class can be formatted to help gymnasts and figure skaters as well. Dancer...
*Dance movements are excellent for improving mobility, balance and coordination! Dance helps with focus, discipline and listening skills. *Learning the fundamentals of dance (specifically ballet) is very helpful with training in figure skating and gymnastics as well.
I have a Bachelors of Science Degree in Dance Performance with a minor in Health Education. In addition, I have been teaching and doing choreography for over 15 years. I was a background dancer in Disney's High School Musical 2. I have worked with all ages teaching ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance and have done the choreography for many musical productions and groups. *In addition I have worked with gymnasts and figure skaters on basic ballet technique and musicality.
