Class experience
Do you have a dancer with specific goals they want to reach? In this private class, I will help students with whatever their needs are, including technique, strength, flexibility, and more. I can help with audition pictures, ballet technique, PBT skills, improving strength, becoming more flexible, or even just a normal, 1:1 dance class. I can teach in the following styles: ballet, lyrical, contemporary, modern, jazz, tap, and I can teach class in English or French. I teach my classes based on...
I have been dancing since I was three, and I have taken ballet the entire time. I've also helped teach dance classes for 1 and a half years. I have been trained in a pre-professional program that stresses technique and safety. I know the correct way to perform and teach exercises to ensure the least risk possible. I am also certified to teach PBT and have learned the correct way to safely teach exercises.
-Water bottle -Open space -A chair or other object for a barre (if you’re taking ballet) -Appropriate shoes (if your floor is extremely slippery, barefoot is best -otherwise, socks or ballet shoes are fine) -Comfortable clothes (you can wear a leotard and tights if you like, but it is not necessary depending on your goals) -For strengthening: large and small exercise balls, theraband, lacrosse ball
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Dance is a physical sport, and as such, students are always at risk for injuries. I will be focusing on proper warm-ups and technique to keep students as safe as possible, but there is no way to eliminate all risk. By signing up for this course, you acknowledge these risks and are voluntarily choosing to participate anyway.
