Mini Math Mysteries are a fun 'game-like' activity to practice different math skills. They follow a simple elimination structure where learners will be using the answers to the math questions to eliminate possibilities. - Learners will practice and review: -Counting Objects (1-10) -Counting with Ten Frames & Dice (1-10) -Comparing Numbers (1-15) --> Lowest and Greatest -Addition with Pictures (1-10) -Ten Frames: How many more to make ten? -Counting Objects (1-15) -Addition with Pictures (1-12) -Subtraction with Pictures (0-5) -Counting Objects to 15 -Missing Numbers in Sequences from 1-15 -Numbers Written in Words (zero – ten) -Counting Objects to 20 -Missing Numbers in Sequences from 1-15 -Addition to 10 with Pictures -Write the number that comes in between two numbers given (6 ___ 8) -Measurement (How tall? Using unit cubes) -Patterns (with shapes) -Comparing Numbers up to 20 (Which is more?) -Picture Data in a Table and Counting -Read & Interpret A Graph -Addition within 10 -Subtraction within 10 -Counting Objects up to 30 -Missing Numbers on Number Lines (up to 20) -Identify and Draw (or match) 2D Shapes -Count the Sides of 2D Shapes -Mix of Addition and Subtraction Questions within 10
Students will need: -pencil and sheet of paper OR -dry erase board and marker -items to count with if needed (small erasers, cheerios, M&Ms, counters, etc)
