Artists may want to try more paintings using a technique from this class.Assessment
Throughout the class, I will have artists share their work with me to see their progress and ask questions as they arise.Class Experience
Invite your friends for a private art party where we will create a beautiful painting! There are different projects to choose from, either using watercolors or acrylic/tempera paints (depending on the project). The overall list of supplies is simple and will be provided when a project is chosen and enrollment is confirmed. We can end the party with a song or game for some festive cheer! Specific visual examples are available upon request! Projects available: - Cityscape (acrylic/tempera) - Desert scape (acrylic/tempera) - Sun and Moon design (watercolor) - Mountain Reflections both (acrylic/tempera and watercolors) - Pop Art-Inspired Fruit (watercolor or washable markers, like Crayola) - Geodes (watercolors) There is a minimum of 4 learners (including the host learner) required. After hellos and introductions, we will get right to work! It may be messy and a bit loud, but it's gonna be fun! I will guide students throughout the class. They will be able to clearly see my artwork as a reference on my art cam and will know each step as I share techniques and details. I always provide feedback and extra help as needed. I encourage artists to experiment and try something new with colors or if inspired, to add something to their design. In the end, everyone will have a great masterpiece they can show off! The host/learner will pay by buying gift enrollments and then sharing the link with others. Guests will register using that link on their own devices. They will join the meeting on their own device as well.
Learning Goals
My goal is for artists/party-goers to have fun creating colorful artwork to celebrate!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from UCLA
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and have enjoyed working with vibrant colors through markers, paints, and chalk pastels. My personal style is more abstract, graphic, and even impressionistic and this is reflected in my own artwork style over the years. I worked with young learners for several years when I was in charge of a volunteer- lead art program. We did many different types of projects and used different media and techniques each month. I love discovering how one technique can have unexpected results and even be used in new ways. Sharing these colorful ideas with little artists makes the process even more exciting- I often learn from them as well!
