The goal of this class is to help your learner learn or practice identification (both written and auditory) and pronunciation of phonics sounds and/or reading skills and/or expressive/receptive language skills and/or auditory skills such as comprehension, memory, discrimination, etc. and/or learn/practice English as a Second Language. I also include brain fitness training in our sessions. 

Over the past 31+ years I have helped children and teens from ages 2 to 19 improve their speech, language, auditory, phonics, reading, and brain fitness skills and much more. I have a wide range of experience that includes teaching those on the autism spectrum, learning disabled students, add/adhd and many more areas of concern, as well as, experience teaching regular and gifted learners. I have found that patient encouragement in a structured and energetic yet relaxed classroom environment help students brains focus to receive information better and helps them become detail oriented students. I have spent many years enjoying my time working in both public and private schools and in a Wellness Center providing brain fitness training. I also hold a TESOL certificate and teach English as a Second Language (ESL) online. During 15 of those years, I loved also homeschooling my own children (most grades K2-12) until they graduated high school. During our homeschool years, I helped teach a variety of classes to homeschool students of all ages who were involved in co-ops. I have both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and received a Class A (Master's level) teaching certification N-12. I am also an Interactive Metronome Certified Provider (IMCP). Interactive Metronome (IM) is a computer based brain fitness training program. 

Homework Offered
Minimal homework will be given as needed for extra practice or if class assignments were not fully completed in class.

This class is designed to support all learning styles and needs including those with ADHD / ADD, Dyslexia, ASD and others. We can work on areas needing improvement, practice and/or challenge.
