Class Experience
US Grade 3 - 8
This is a one-to-one personal tutoring session with a fully qualified and experienced teacher of English literacy and English Language Arts. The class content will be specifically designed to meet the needs of each individual learner. When you enroll, you will be sent a welcome message asking questions about what you would like to improve. I will also administer a quick phonics check during the first lesson to ensure our future sessions are pitched at the right level. Then I design a Personalized learning plan for your learner. You can choose to focus on reading, spelling, writing, phonics, graphemes, reading fluency, or a combination of skills. As an experienced teacher of students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, and ASD, I welcome all students who seek to improve. As a fully qualified and registered teacher with many years of experience, I have multiple ways to teach different concepts. This includes multi-sensory approaches, grapheme based approaches, and readers' theatre approaches. I use a range of personalised activities, games, and visuals to help keep students engaged. Each session is 25 minutes with only one learner. This is an ongoing weekly class, but you are welcome to start and stop at any time. If you don't see a time that works for you, please contact me. I am able to run session times for students in Australia from 4-8pm weekdays, and UK Saturday and Sunday mornings. Classes for Australian and UK students are conducted using British English spelling. I also run small group literacy sessions. Please check my page for further information on those classes.
