I offer specialized one-on-one English Language Arts and Social Studies tutoring for elementary through high school. My goal is to equip students with all the skills necessary to read and write effectively, even beyond the scope of their ELA courses. During this private tutoring session, the student and teacher will establish learning goals based upon the students academic needs. We will actively use thinking strategies and critical thinking as part of our sessions. Specific topics that may be included in the tutoring sessions are: Phonics and Grammar Parts of Speech Prefixes, Suffixes, Roots, Bases Writing - Informational, Argument, Compare/Contrast, Narrative, Creative Spelling and Vocabulary Reading Comprehension and Fluency Essay Revision/Editing Literary/Rhetorical Analysis Poetry/ Monologues APA/ MLA Citation In addition, I offer tutoring services for secondary Social Studies topics which include: Geography Economics Government/ Politics Ancient Civilization American History - Colonization to Present

Parental Guidance
With parent consent, we will use No Red Ink website for grammar practice and News ELA website for articles and class assignments. No Red Ink can be used with a class code and News ELA can be accessed with an existing Google account or with a class code.
