Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, my name is Teacher Angela, and I look forward to having your child in my classroom!
I enjoy teaching life skills. These were fun topics for me to learn as a child, and I realize they aren't offered in as many schools as they once were.
I've been an artist since I was very young. I have a degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Commercial Design. I especially love working on projects with lettering and color design. My background helps me to bring fun and creativity into my classes.
I am also a mom of three and have enjoyed homeschooling during the summer with my children, which crafts, cooking, and more.
CLEANING AND ORGANIZING
I write on my blog, The Unclutter Angel, where I help families get organized in the home. I am passionate about organizing and helping others to get organized, especially kids and their families. It started in my room, classrooms, and beyond when I was younger.
As a Clutter Coach, I know that it is important to keep the process of cleaning and organizing simple, easy, and fun, especially with kids! Whether your child struggles with keeping their room picked up, has trouble staying focused, or needs the skills to get organized and keep things clean, I have a hands-on class for you.
I am not just about giving tips. My cleaning and organizing class offers a fun and interactive environment that can help your learner see the value in keeping their room clean and organized and how it doesn't have to be a dreaded chore!
I have certificates from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization:
- Certificate of Study in Level One ADHD - (2023)
- Certificate of Study in Chronic Disorganization - (2023)
CURSIVE WRITING
Practicing writing and using creativity while learning about animals, dinosaurs, and other interesting topics, makes the life skill of learning how to write cursive FUN!
I have classes that cover the entire alphabet, which is good for review, and ongoing classes that cover a few letters each week. Both types of classes include fun themes, as well as games, trivia, and riddles!
COOKING
In my cooking classes, we will mainly use a crockpot. It's a simple, fun, and creative way to cook in the kitchen! It's perfect for kids where parents don't have to worry about them using the oven. Learners will gain confidence in the kitchen and see that cooking doesn't have to be complicated.
Cooking in the kitchen, whether making dinner or a dessert, can be a fun and memorable experience. We do this by also incorporating cooking tips, games, trivia, and riddles that relate to the recipe taught in each class.
MY STYLE
For almost 20 years, I have taught children both online and offline with the age range of 3-15. Teaching hundreds of classes online, I genuinely love teaching in an online classroom! There are so many creative tools that can be used and the flexibility to teach students from around the world is amazing!
I love to encourage and have a ton of patience. My classes are interactive, practical, creative, and fun!
I'm excited to see you in my classroom, and have some fun!
Teacher Angela ❤

CLASS EXPECTATIONS/MUTING:
I like to encourage participation from learners enrolled in my classes. I prefer to leave learners unmuted, but I understand that there are instances where learners need to be muted due to background noise that cannot be prevented. Parents, please feel free to mute your learners at your discretion.
As the teacher, there are also instances where I will need to utilize the mute function. If background noise may be distracting to other learners enrolled in the class, I will advise the students that they are being muted to limit the background noise.
At the beginning of each class, I will also advise the learners of my expectations. Students must raise their hands and wait for their names to be called before speaking. To be respectful of all learners and to give everyone a chance to participate, it is important for students to abide by these rules. I will use visual and verbal cues in an effort to remind young learners of these expectations.

SIBLINGS:
If you have more than one learner enrolled in the class, each learner who wants to participate must be enrolled to be fair to other students participating. Enrolled siblings are always welcome to share a screen during class.

REFUNDS & TRANSFERS:
Per Outschool's limited refund policy: "Full refund within 24 hours of purchase or up to a week in advance of the class."
**Please ensure the time is AM or PM when signing up. I teach mornings as well as evenings to suit all time zones and, unfortunately, I am not able to refill a spot last minute if it is realized that the time of day was mistaken or the class was missed. This is a non-refundable policy.
For one-time classes:
If within the week, you realize you won't be able to make class, please submit a transfer request from the classroom at least 24 hours in advance. This ensures another student who would like to take the class has enough time to see the opening and enroll.
If contacted after class, I cannot refund or transfer. I do understand personal/family emergencies come up and will do my best to support you if I am contacted before class. If your learner is withdrawn on your end within the non-refundable period, I am unable to transfer you. It is best to contact me first for your options.
Please test Zoom before class. I like to be fully present with students as soon as we begin class, and do not access my conversations or classroom comments on Outschool after the class has already started.

CLASS CANCELLATIONS:
If a class has not met the minimum number of enrollments, it is subject to being canceled. I will send a message asking if you'd like a transfer to another date & time or a full refund if the class is canceled. Automatic refunds are issued for no responses after the original class start time.
