In this class students will learn and practice collecting and organizing data in a variety of ways. Students will learn how to collect data on a chart using tally marks. They will learn how to write and county tally marks. Students will then learn how to use the information they collected to make a simple picture graph or bar graph. Students will also learn how to read the information on a graph or chart and answer simple questions. All activities and data collected will be princess themed Such questions may include, but are not limited to "Who is your favorite princess?" and "What princess movie is your favorite?" . They will also look at pre-made graphs. All activities are appropriate for students in kindergarten and first grade. The learners will be provided with materials to print prior to class.
