Description
Class Experience
In this fun and engaging lesson students will learn early math concepts by comparing objects based on their size using real world objects as well as 2D props. They will learn the concepts of comparing using the terms bigger, smaller, and same by slides, pictures and props. Instructional scaffolds, visual aids, repetition, and modeling will be used in the classroom to teach. Students will have the opportunity to interact with classmates as they work together to learn their new skills, take...
Students will learn to identify which item is bigger or smaller based on size using tactile supports.
Students are encouraged to review concepts learned in class with family members to reinforce their new skills.
5 files available upon enrollmentPlease have paper and crayons to participate in classroom activities. Students may also bring an odd number (anywhere from 5-9) of duplo or lego blocks to class. (optional). Printouts are also provided upon enrollment for students to bring for using in class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students performance will be assessed visually to see if they understand the concepts taught in class.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
