US Grade Preschool
In this fun and engaging lesson students will learn early math concepts by comparing objects based on their size using real world objects as well as 2D props. They will learn the concepts of comparing using the terms bigger, smaller, and same by slides, pictures and props. Instructional scaffolds, visual aids, repetition, and modeling will be used in the classroom to teach. Students will have the opportunity to interact with classmates as they work together to learn their new skills, take turns, encourage and share with each other. This class will be taught in a fun, warm and engaging group setting. No Previous knowledge needed.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to identify which item is bigger or smaller based on size using tactile supports.

Supply List
Please have paper and crayons to participate in classroom activities. Students may also bring an odd number (anywhere from 5-9) of duplo or lego blocks to class. (optional). Printouts are also provided upon enrollment for students to bring for using in class.

Hello! I’m Teacher Sheila.
I’ve been teaching both children and adults for over 20 years.
I have a Bachelors Degree in education, I’m TESOL certified and I’m homeschool certified as well.
I am currently teaching English online to children in China. I also offer classes in Common Core subjects Online in the US as well.
I have home schooled all five of my children, 4 have graduated 12th grade and I’m currently working with my last kid who will be starting High School this year.
I am so very passionate about teaching that I even spend much of my free time in volunteer work teaching others. My goal is to instill in my students a lifelong love of learning.
In fact I believe in learning so much that I am always involved continuing education myself, whether it be in foreign language, improving my teaching techniques and even weekly public speaking classes.
I believe I have a LOT to bring to the classroom and I’m EXCITED to begin on this journey in learning with you! I hope to see YOU in my classroom soon!
