In this ongoing preschool class, we will meet 1 time a week for 30 minutes. Ongoing classes are great because you can take part in the whole summer course or just take part of the course. You can decide. This ongoing preschool class is great for a younger preschool student, (3 & 4 year old's). This class is designed for students to socially interact with peers, practice skills and enjoy learning through activities, crafts, songs and rhymes. During the preschool ongoing class, students will be participating in fun, exciting and engaging activities! The students will learn letter and letter sounds (pre-reading skills), math concepts (shapes, colors, patterns, numbers, counting), fine motor skills (scissor skills, pincer grasp, eye-hand coordination), and social/emotional skills (turn taking, speaking, listening). Music, rhymes and science will be integrated into each thematic weekly lessons. We will be singing, reading stories, making crafts, learning rhymes, and doing fun activities during our course. A new letter (or two) and letter sound will be introduced each week, along with a number and a shape. We will sing the days of the week, months of the year and discuss the weather. Each week will have a unique theme. Summer Weeks & Themes: Week 1~June 1: Beach Week 2~June 8: Space Week 3~June 16: Picnic & Watermelon June 23: NO CLASS Teacher Family Vacation Week 4~June 30: Stars & Stripes (4th of July) Week 5~July 6: Camping Week 6~July 13: Dinosaurs Week 7~July 20: Under the Sea (Water & Bubbles) Week 8~July 27: Pets Sample Class Structure: Introductions/Hello Song/Sharing (social skills) Songs/Rhymes/Finger Plays Calendar Time (counting, numbers, shapes, patterns) Weather (science) Letter Song/Sound Identification (reading) Story (reading) Activity/Craft/Game (Fine motor/social skills) Goodbyes/Closing Supplies needed for each weeks class, and teacher created materials that need to be printed will be available and announced in the classroom each Friday evening by 5pm PST (for the upcoming week of preschool). Most supplies will basic craft/school supplies you will have around the house (pencils, markers, crayons, scissors, play-doh, glue, stickers, etc).
Learning Goals
The students will improve pre-academic skills of reading, writing and mathematics through letter and sound recognition, number and number sense, patterns and shape recognition.
The students will improve social emotional skills (turn taking, speaking and listening).
The students will improve fine motor skills through improving pincer grasp, coloring, cutting and eye-hand coordination.
The students will be introduced to days of the week, months of the year and different types of weather.

Supply List
Basic school supplies needed (crayon, markers, scissors, pencil, glue). You will need access to a printer. I will post materials for the week the Friday before in the classroom messages.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
