Your preschool-aged kiddos are invited to join me, Miss Emmi, for Storytime Yoga. We'll use picture books, yoga poses, breathing, and mindful movement to build self-awareness, emotional regulation, body awareness, concentration, and more. A typical Storytime Yoga Class will follow this outline: 1. Greeting (teacher and learners introduce themselves) 2. Sun Salutations (child-friendly yoga poses) 3. Read a picture book and pause to do yoga poses that correspond with the story 4. Answer questions about the book and yoga poses 5. Breathing (learners will be introduced to a new breathing technique each week) 6. Rest (learners will rest quietly in a seated or reclining pose for one minute) 7. Goodbye and see you later! I've designed this class with young learners in mind - a place where they can be themselves and learn important skills, all while having fun! We will move through the activities listed above at a pace that is appropriate for preschoolers' attention spans. I am a warm, kind, experienced teacher who enjoys teaching learners of all personalities. Your child doesn't need to have any experience with yoga to attend or enjoy this class. I can't wait to meet your child!
