US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
This PreK Part 2 class teaches the alphabet (highlighting letters Nn-Zz upper and lower case), numbers 10-20, a variety of colors, five not so basic shapes and two and three letter words through a variety of mediums including lively songs, educational manipulatives, creative props and socialization through class interaction and discussion. The teaching is personal, fun and interactive which helps students engage in learning and retain the information presented. A question/answer time and a special good bye wraps things up! I can't wait to meet your learner in my class real soon. The daily class schedule is below: 1. Monday: Meet and Greet Welcome Song Alphabet song and alphabets Nn-Zz Alphabet Show and Tell Good bye 2.Tuesday Meet and Greet Welcome Song Number song and numbers 11=20 Number Show and Tell Good bye 3. Various handouts will be uploaded to the classroom page for parents to print out for use during class. The handouts will be helpful to the learner but not required and you are welcome to supply similar handouts you may have or want to use.. At various times throughout the class the learner will use any of the following items: crayons, markers, scissors, glue, water color paint, playdough construction paper and white copy paper.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I was raised and live in the great state of Louisiana and bring Louisiana flare to all I do! Cumulatively, I have 20 years of experience in the educational field by homeschooling my children for 12 years, teaching in a variety of homeschool co-ops, working as a math and ELA tutor/interventionist in the public and private school system (Pre-K - 4th grade), teaching special needs Preschool children and teaching a variety of on-line classes featuring Pre-K subjects and Tween Health and wellness.
I believe education is most effective when the teacher connects personally with students while engaging them in the subject matter with creative presentations which encourage retainability.
Along with teaching children, health and wellness is also my passion. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics/Nutrition from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA and also completed a Dietetics Internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. I have worked as a Registered Dietitian and Health Care Specialist in several different health care facilities. I was the Director of Wellness at a hospital in TN, the Resident Dietitian at a Children's Treatment Facility and a Health Coach at a Chiropractic facility.
I can teach a variety of classes including math, ELA, health, nutrition, etiquette/manners, crafts, storytelling, book clubs, Louisiana culture and more.
As for fun facts about me, the farthest place I've traveled to is Russia, my favorite animal growing up was a frog and I love dark chocolate!Reviews
