US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Beginner Level
In this ongoing class, learners will learn letter names, letter sounds, numbers, counting, shapes, and colors. Days of the week, months of the year, and weather will be identified. We will read books based on the daily theme and practice nursery rhymes. The learner will use critical thinking skills to comprehend the book. Listening to the story will improve their auditory memory. We will use critical thinking questions and the questions will also improve the learner's auditory recall. By using these questions in a group setting, it will improve their social skills. The learner will play games to improve listening, visual and social skills. These games are great for improving visual memory. Learners love to play these games with their peers. There will be coloring pages to help with hand dexterity and visual memory. There will crafts that go with letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. These classes will be good for ESL learners. These classes are CEFR A1 or Lexile 110 - 300. Upcoming themes include: Airplanes and Jets, Bees, Camping, Dinosaurs, Elephants, Frogs, Geese, Hippos, Insects, Jellyfish, Kites, Library, Mouse, Numbers, Ocean, Pirates, and more themes to be added later.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have taught preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, and adult education & literacy. I homeschooled my children and I have taught English as a Secondary Language (ESL) to children and adults in several countries. I have a TESOL certification. I have used CEFR when designing ESL and Conversational English classes. I have taught various ages for over 25 years. I grew up around artists and craftspeople and I have learned skills from them.
