As a former Pre-K teacher and current Kindergarten teacher, I designed this course that meets 3x a week to prepare students for Kindergarten! Every week the class will have a new theme that varies from character traits, such as kindness, patience, and honesty, to general topics like Science and Social Studies. Occasionally, I will assign some optional projects related to our class theme of the week. This will require students to do some little research on the topic or complete a challenge during the week and present their experiences at the end of class. The projects will vary but give students an excellent opportunity to begin working on their own in small ways and get used to presenting in front of the class. My class is 45 minutes long but is filled will fun virtual adventures: ⭐️ We take our Rocket Ship & travel to different places globally! We learn new things about them each day! For example, we travel to Eygpt, Greece, Mexico, and many more countries! ⭐️ Sometimes we have to worry about that silly ol' mouse, Mr. Mouse, that keeps sneaking into Miss Caitlin's PowerPoint slides! Miss Caitlin needs all her friends to keep their eyes on the screen to make sure he isn't up to no good! The only way to get rid of him is to say the magic words. ⭐️ We take virtual "nature" walks (Deep Breaths & Relaxation time) ⭐️ Scavenger Hunts related to the topics we're learning that week. ⭐️ Show & Tell ⭐️ Games ⭐️ Dance & Freeze I keep my classes engaging, high-energy, and fun while teaching students essential topics like: ⭐️ Writing ⭐️ Letters ⭐️ Phonics ⭐️ Numbers ⭐️ Counting ⭐️ Sorting ⭐️ Intro to Sight Words ⭐️ Measurement ⭐️ Shapes And more! I provide different resource options for students to continue practicing at home. Every week, I provide weekly work associated with what we learned that week. In addition, I create in-class worksheets that I would like students to print out and bring to every class, to practice writing our letters and numbers. If you do not have access to a printer, you can also use a piece of paper or whiteboard for writing practice. Every week, I will provide additional material for students if they would like extra practice (worksheets or online storybooks). All work is optional. This class is year-round. 🌎 A short class sample: This class opens with a class introduction, teacher introduction, class rules, and a welcome song! After this, we will begin on our calendar where we sing songs and review days of the week, months of the year, alphabet, phonics, and counting! In addition, we will travel on our "Rocket Ship" and spend time learning about different places in the world. Every week, we have a new theme, which will be discussed as a class. We also randomly get visits from Mr. Mouse, and every time we see him, we have to do our secret magic trick to get him to leave. Once completed, we go over the letter of the week! Each letter has a character associated with it. For instance, if we're learning about the letter A, I will introduce the class to our friend "Apple Annie," who is going to help us understand more about the letter A. We will sing a song about the letter, review the letter sounds, do an activity, and practice our writing. This is the portion of our class where students will need to have the in-class worksheets or have a paper/whiteboard to practice their writing. We then jump into our number for the week, do an activity, and practice our writing. In addition, we will sing our color songs and learn about our sight words. Every week is slightly different, but I always incorporate fun activities with the students and games into our weekly lessons. *No classes on holidays. Noise Policy: I enjoy hearing stories from each of my students and having the learners engage with their friends, but I will put all my friends on mute when it's getting too noisy. I ask you to be mindful of the noise level in the room the learner is in while taking the class to ensure it is not preventing other students from hearing the lesson. Thank you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- camp, preschool, kindergarten, summer, school, adventures, vowels, letters, Disney, games, language arts, writing, letter recognition, early elementary, phonics, pre-k, prekindergarten, Encanto, geography, character development, weekly themes, crafts, resources, songs, dancing, dance and freeze, math, sight words, shapes, days of the week, months of the year, calendar, rhyming, circle time, numbers, counting, colors, shapes, vowels, patterns, position words, story times

Kindergarten:
After you have completed Pre-K, I offer a class for Kindergarten students entering First Grade. This class is managed the same way as my Pre-K class (Worksheets, Weekly themes, Rocket Ship Experience, Games &, etc.), but I teach different material to students that they need to know before entering First Grade. My goal is at the end of this course; students will be able to read and begin writing simple sentences, and have a good handle on addition and subtraction.
We will be learning:
⭐️ Sight Words
⭐️ CVC Words
⭐️ Numbers 1-20
⭐️ Counting by Tens
⭐️ Compose & Decompose Numbers
⭐️ Blends & Digraphs
⭐️ Writing Sentences
⭐️ Addition & Subtraction
⭐️ Vowels
& More!
Mini Circle Time Class:
Are you looking for a class that reviews essential topics for your Preschooler, but in a short 25-minute class? I will teach young learners the fundamental topics in a short but sweet class! It's not always easy for children in this age group to sit and pay attention in a one-hour class, so I created a high-energy course that reviews the topics they need to know: letters, numbers, counting, colors, and phonics. We will be studying essential topics in fun ways to help students understand fundamental Preschool concepts.
This is a one-time class that I encourage students to continue to enroll in. Each session will review different letters, numbers, and colors.
Tiny Talks:
Do you feel like your child doesn't get enough socialization? Do you want a safe place where your child can form friendships while playing fun games with others their age? I created a class where children can socialize (with a supervised teacher) and play fun games together! In this class, we meet once a week for 30 minutes, where we make time for conversations, games, and some songs + dance! It's an excellent way for kids to take a little break from their school work and enjoy being a kid!
My Experience:
I am a skilled teacher trained in preschool and lower Elementary education. I received a college education from Arizona State University and began my teaching journey shortly after graduation. I've taught at a Private Accelerated Elementary School with an advanced curriculum in Arizona, where I taught two grade levels: Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten. After my time in Arizona, I started teaching for a K-8th Homeschool program through the Charter Schools in Southern California, where I teach Kindergarten.
I have been involved in children's education in many ways throughout my life. Before teaching my first class, I assisted in other Preschool classrooms, where I initially learned all the ins and outs of managing a classroom and helping students thrive in school. I have an ESL certification where I have the specific skills to help nonnative learners learn a new language, English. Special Education is another area of education that I love. I worked hands-on with children with unique disabilities and operated under a School Psychologist that gave specific resources and materials for each student to help them succeed in school.
My Philosophy:
I believe in creating a respectful and caring bond with students and their families for an excellent foundation for a successful learning experience. I try to incorporate love, laughter, and passion into my teaching sessions.
About Me:
Some fun facts about me are that I used to be a collegiate Track and Field athlete. I ran in multiple races like 200m and 400m hurdles. During my free time, I like to read Self-Development books. I have two puppies: Harley and Gracie!
