Dive into the world of music from instruments to composing. This class is an enriching, ongoing experience to give your preschool learner a solid musical foundation and well-rounded appreciation. We will meet composers, travel around the world to learn about music from other cultures, learn about instruments and their unique sounds, and begin to read and write musical rhythms. Ear training with pitch and rhythm will also be highlighted in this full curriculum course. A solid musical education lays the foundation for learning in many subject areas and creating young people who learn to appreciate the arts. Music is mathematical - there is a lot of counting, adding, and dividing. Music encompasses history, as it has been around for centuries and has shaped the world. It is also a science of skill and precision. Young children learn so much, such as directions and manners, through music as one of their earliest forms of communication. Music is an art, as is shapes the human spirit and brings the world together, no matter our language and culture. Most of all, music is a universal language, one that all of our hearts can understand. This course is interactive and the material presented in a fun, lighthearted and creative virtual classroom. No experience is required, and each class is a unique experience that requires no prior knowledge. Classes consist of interactive discussion and musical discovery, games, slides, sights, and sounds.
