Class Experience
In this 4-week class which meets twice a week, we will learn to write the lowercase alphabet. We will use the Handwriting Without Tears method which uses consistent language and simple formations. This curriculum works well with all learning types including those with dyspraxia and dysgraphia. Students will practice writing on a Magnadoodle (magnetic drawing board) or whiteboard, followed by practice with pencil and paper. This class is appropriate for children just learning to write or...

Students will learn to form the lowercase alphabet using the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum.
Learners will complete the handwriting printouts used during the weekly sessions. They will also be encouraged to practice in a variety of materials such as shaving cream, salt, rice, etc.
Magnadoodle, Whiteboard, or Chalkboard Printouts Pencil with eraser Crayons, colored pencils, or markers
No formal assessment will be given. Parents should keep handwriting samples from before and after for comparison.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
