Class experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
At Quantum Montessori, we understand that every learner is unique and learns differently, and that is why our learning pod is tailored to meet the individual needs and interests of each child. We believe that by creating a supportive and heart-centered learning environment, we can help our students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. With this in mind, we strive to assist learners in achieving the following learning goals:

1. Develop Positive Social Skills: Learners practice cooperating, communicating effectively, and showing respect to their peers in a virtual learning environment. They will also learn to value the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of their pod mates.

2. Develop Self-Government/Regulation and Independence: Learners will learn how to manage their own learning and become more self-sufficient. They will learn to take responsibility for their work, manage their time effectively, and seek help when needed.

3. Foster a Love for Learning: In our learning pod, our top priority is to inspire a love for learning in our learners. We believe that when children are engaged and passionate about their education, they develop a lifelong love for learning that will stay with them throughout their lives.

4. Develop Critical Thinking Skills: Learners will be challenged to think critically, problem-solve, and make decisions independently. They will also develop their creativity and learn to approach tasks in different ways.

5. Build a Strong Foundation in STEAM: Through a combination of Montessori and STEAM-based activities, children will develop an understanding of science, technology, engineering, art, and math concepts. They will learn to apply these skills in real-world scenarios.

6. Cultivate Empathy and Compassion: Learners will have opportunities to learn about and empathize with people from different cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives. They will also participate in community service projects to develop a sense of compassion and responsibility towards others.

7. Encourage a Healthy Lifestyle: Learners will learn about the importance of physical and mental health through age-appropriate activities and discussions. They will be encouraged to make healthy choices and develop healthy habits.

8. Develop Digital Literacy Skills: In today’s digital age, it is important for learners to develop digital literacy skills. They will learn how to navigate and use technology safely and responsibly.

9. Encourage a Love for Nature: Learners will have opportunities to learn about the environment and develop an appreciation for nature. They will learn about sustainability, conservation, and taking care of the planet.

10. Foster a Growth Mindset: Learners will be encouraged to adopt a growth mindset and believe that they can develop their abilities through effort and practice. They will learn to embrace challenges and view mistakes as learning opportunities.
Ms. Robles, Early Childhood & Elementary Educator
Amanda Robles is an experienced early childhood and elementary educator who brings energy, passion, and a wealth of knowledge to her classroom. With 4 ½ years of teaching experience in the public school system, Amanda has proven herself to be a dedicated and skilled educator.

After graduating from East Carolina University with a Master’s degree in English, Amanda followed her passion for teaching and began her career in the 3rd grade classroom. Her love for the Montessori approach was evident from the start as she quickly adapted her teaching style to meet the individual needs of her students. Amanda’s classroom is a warm and inviting space where students feel supported and encouraged to explore and learn at their own pace.

In addition to teaching in the early childhood and elementary levels, Amanda also has experience teaching 7th and 8th grade ELA. This diverse range of teaching experience has given her a well-rounded understanding of child development and the different ways children learn and grow.

Amanda’s commitment to the learner-centered Montessori philosophy extends beyond the classroom as she actively engages with families to ensure a collaborative learning environment for her students. Her creative and innovative approach to teaching has been recognized by parents and colleagues alike, and she continues to inspire and motivate her students to reach their full potential.

🎉 Message from Ms. Ashleigh Stevens, Quantum Montessori™ founder, an Elementary & Secondary Montessori Guide, and homeschool mom to three children:

Thank you for taking the time to explore our profile. We eagerly anticipate you joining us on your learning journey. I founded the Quantum Montessori Institute with a team of outstanding educators and leaders. I wanted parents to feel empowered to educate their children from home confidently, while also working, running a business, living an RV lifestyle, traveling the world, or simply seeking a hybrid learning environment. My passion for Montessori has led me to work with a diverse group of youths and my aim is to ensure an equitable experience, one that equally prioritizes the wellbeing of not only the child, but also the parents and educators.
