I love to incorporate songs, movement, stories, and hands-on activities into my lessons. Children learn best when they are enjoying the lesson and having fun! This class will help them prepare for Kindergarten, help them as they are currently in Kindergarten, or help them as they enter into 1st grade. Learners will have the skills and tools to be successful! - - Course Overview - - ⏰ Class is 30 minutes long, meeting 2x per week 🗓️ This is a YEAR-ROUND full curriculum class! No printer? No problem! Learners can bring a blank paper or even a whiteboard to class instead. Please make sure your learner has a pencil to write with or coloring tools handy for each class. • Socialization is a huge part of early education years. I love to have learners stay unmuted throughout class so they can interact with myself and the other learners and also answer questions. However, if there is too much background noise, it can become a distraction to others. In the case of too much background noise, I will mute learners. Parents, if possible, please show your learners how to unmute, just incase. Thank you! • To tie into socialization, young learners are so eager to share fun facts with others. That is why we will have a weekly show-and-tell to practice their communication skills, public speaking, listening, and even sharing. We will also practice raising our hand when we have something we want to say or something to share that ties into our daily lesson/activity. • Since this is an ongoing course, you may join (or leave) at any time. We will not be going in a particular order, nor do the weekly lessons build off of each other. Please feel free to come and go as you please! ⭐️❗️However, please also note that since this is an ongoing class, you will be charged every week for the class on Sundays. ⭐️❗️ I hope you are able to join this Circle Time Class! Filled with learning & fun- all in one! :) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello everyone, my name is Miss Alyssa. Welcome to my classroom!
I am a positive and enthusiastic teacher who loves to integrate fun into my classroom. I have my Bachelor's degree in Education. I have been teaching for 5 years. I have taught Preschool and Pre-K. Currently, I teach 5th grade.
I truly believe that children learn best not only when they're engaged, but also when they're having fun! That’s why I strive to make learning fun for all children.
What does my classroom look like? My classes will offer slideshow presentations, movement/brain breaks, music and stories, arts and crafts, experiments, and open discussions. Each class will be engaging, interactive, and student-centered. I offer the 3-step approach to learning: I do, we do, you do. With this approach, I first model the lesson and show the expectations. Then, we try it out together as a group. Lastly, students are encouraged to try on their own. I will support students in whichever way they need that fits their individual learning style.
I love to take the interests of my students and integrate them into my lessons. I believe that children are more eager to participate when they are truly enjoying the lesson!
I am so excited to meet your learners in class & I hope to spark their love for learning the same way that my teachers did when I was young!❤️
If you have any questions about classes, please reach out and send me a message. Parent/teacher communication is important to me, and I would love to work together to meet the needs of your child.
