This class is different from others because it follows a curriculum and is academically focused while being engaging and motivating for all learners. Small class sizes ensure that your child gets the one on one instruction your child needs, child will learn to read guaranteed! Get your child ready for school! This course will cover all beginning reading topics including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Learning skills include: Letters/Sounds: Mouth Articulation Handwriting Decodable reading Vocabulary Phonics Phonological Awareness CVC words Word Recognition Sight Words Fluency Writing letter, words, and sentences Digraphs Double Endings Blends Multisyllabic Words Unit 1: Alphabet and Alphabetic Principles Unit 2: CVC Words Unit 3: Digraphs, Double Endings, Beginning Blends + Multisyllabic Words Be a reader by Kindergarten!!! Important Notes for Class: We will have one 2-3 minute brain break per class. Some students might need small group/1:1 intervention to be successful in this course (Small group/1:1 tutoring will be offered on Fridays as needed)

This course will use Raz-Plus and Little Minds at Work. Both resources are curriculum used for elementary students. No subscriptions are required. These tools will we used in our online lessons during class with minimal downloading/printing.
