Hi parents! Geared to children ages 3-5, this preschool/early childhood alphabet and sounds course will be sure to lay the foundation your child needs for reading and writing in Kindergarten! Consonants, vowels, blends, and more!

During Lessons 19 and 20 (our last 2 lessons), I will give each student an oral assessment to check knowledge retention from all that we’ve learned throughout the course. I will email this assessment to each parent after it has been completed by their child!Class Experience
US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Beginner - Intermediate Level
During this class, we will learn our alphabet, the sounds that each letter makes, the five vowels, their short and long sounds, blends, and more! Our classes will be engaging, exciting, and fun! Students will be asked questions periodically throughout the lesson so that I can check for retention. Sometimes I’ll call on a student, other times I’ll ask for a raised hand if a child knows the answer and wishes to participate. No need to be shy, all personality types and levels of knowledge are welcome here!

Introduction to the Alphabet

Lesson 2:
The Difference Between a Vowel and a Consonant
During this lesson, we will dive deeper into letter recognition. We will also discuss the difference between a vowel and a consonant. There are 5 vowels, and 21 consonants! 25 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
The Vowels (A, E, I, O, and U - Short Sounds)
During this lesson, we will learn about the 5 vowels, and the short sounds that they make. 25 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
The Vowels Review (A, E, I, O, and U - Short Sounds)
During this lesson, we will review the 5 vowels, and the short sounds that they make. 25 mins online live lesson

At age 15, I was permitted to substitute for the elementary classes at the school I was attending due to my grades, attendance, and dependability. After graduating, I would teach K3/K4 for the next 3 years. I also taught 5th grade for 2 years. I have been homeschooling for the past 5 years, and babysitting for the last 3 years!
