Class Experience
This class is a one-time audition prep course. Whether you are auditioning for the school play, an acting agency, a regional production, or anything other opportunity, we will review your audition materials. This class is great for students who are auditioning for the first time, or who have specific goals for their audition (being cast as a particular character, meeting an acting goal, etc.). Topics we will cover include: An Actor's Slate (how they introduce themselves to the directing team during the audition) Physical and Vocal Alignment (how they stand; how they maintain composure) Projection Professionalism Grounding Techniques Material Preparation (for monologues, scenes, or other materials) Memorization A lot of audition anxiety comes from the fear of being underprepared. It can be really grounding for performers to hear feedback before their audition. The goal of this class is to polish audition materials, practice professionalism, and work through anxiety and pre-audition jitters. This class is also available for students who want to learn more about the audition process. If this is the case, we can review the audition process for any given type of audition, as opposed to preparing materials for a specific audition.
Learning Goals
Students will be prepared and excited for their upcoming audition!

Supply List
Audition materials are needed for this class. If there are specific requirements for the audition, such as a 60-second monologue or a memorized selection of text, students need to be prepared and memorized. If the student just has general questions for a specific type of audition, no materials are needed. Please communicate the type of audition prior to our meeting so I can be best prepared to help.
