Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
At the beginning of each session, we'll kick off with a lively greeting song, delve into the days of the week, months of the year, and participate in daily calendar time. Writing skills will be honed through daily practice, and this comprehensive class aims to cover all the essential knowledge your learner needs before entering Kindergarten!

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Feel free to join this class any week! While we will spotlight two numbers and two letters weekly, we consistently review other letters, sounds, numbers, and math skills. Your learner is welcome to stay enrolled in this class throughout the entire year! Additionally, I provide parents with a weekly PDF containing a plethora of worksheets, activities, links to read-aloud stories, educational videos, and more to enhance our in-class learning! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The curriculum encompasses letter identification and recognition, letter sounds, letter writing, tracing, sight words, counting, simple addition and subtraction, colors, shapes, and much more!

⭐️ This week's theme (1/9/24-1/11/24) revolves around ☃️ "Winter Wonderland" ❄️!

☃️ There will be no class during the Holiday Break (1/2/24-1/4/24) ☃️

🟢 Our class convenes four times weekly (Monday-Thursday)! Fridays are class-free to give students a chance to recharge for the upcoming week of learning!

🟢 Every week, we'll explore a different science topic or theme, along with a focus on two letters related to that theme.

This class is ongoing, allowing your learner to join at any time! 📅

🗒 Important Reminders for My Class 🗒

⭐️ Class worksheets are provided for learners to print and complete during our sessions. Alternatively, if printing is not possible, using a whiteboard or blank paper at home is perfectly acceptable. Make sure to have crayons, markers, or colored pencils on hand for an interactive learning experience.

⭐️ Occasionally, our classes may focus on holidays, which are highlighted during our daily calendar time. I embrace all types of holidays and celebrations, including special recognition for students on their birthdays through song.

⭐️ To minimize background noise, I may mute all students when necessary. Ensure that your learner understands how to mute/unmute, or kindly sit with them during class to assist with this process. It can be disheartening for learners when they encounter difficulties in unmuting themselves, as the teacher's control is limited to "ask to unmute."

⭐️ I encourage students to use the raise hand feature or the class signal cards (available for printing in our weekly assignment PDF) to indicate when they have questions or wish to share something with the class. This approach ensures that every student has an opportunity to be heard and express their thoughts, fostering a structured and calm classroom environment.

⭐️ Every day, students have the opportunity to share their completed class worksheet and showcase one item related to the color of the week! Thursdays bring the chance for students to present one free choice item! :)

Incorporating songs and movement is a regular part of our activities to allow each learner to release their energy. Social interactions are highly encouraged, and during our "Brain Break" times, students can actively participate by sharing their responses to discussion questions or answers to our engaging "Search & Find" activities!

Throughout our ongoing sessions, students will cover all preschool (Pre-K) standards. Drawing from my background in Special Education, I am dedicated to addressing each student's unique needs. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have! :)

I am eagerly looking forward to meeting your learner in my class! :)
