🤩 Welcome Pre-K • Kindergarten • ESL Learners 🤩 🔶 This ongoing class meets year-round with seasonal & holiday breaks. You may sign up at any time as well as stop your subscription at any time. No prior knowledge required to join class. Your class subscription is automatically renewed each Sunday. 🔶 Comprehensive & advanced pre-k program provides all school readiness skills. Learning content has a strong emphasis on phonics and reading readiness. This curriculum also supports & optimizes Kindergarten learning. 🔶 Class size is kept to a small group setting to optimize interaction & friendships. 🔶 Curriculum includes but not limited to: letter identification & sound, phonics, colors, shapes, math concepts, sight words, problem-solving, skip counting (2's, 5's, 10's), number recognition, science, weather, seasons, days of the week, & more. 🔶 Social Studies and Science topics are introduced through weekly themes. 🔶 Letters are taught in a specific looping order that focuses on beginning reading. Therefore, we do not go in alphabetical order. We DO sing our ABC's daily as we visually see them to master letter identification. Each week, we cover 2 letters and read 4 CVC words. 🔶 Kindergarten prep material of the day is presented via Keynote. During the latter part of class, we will practice writing our letter, number, shape, sight word of the day/week - so you may bring paper or a dry erase board to class. Markers, crayons, molding clay, etc. also come in handy to decorate our letter while we practice writing. 🔶 Songs, movement, & hands-on activities are in each class meeting. We also have a 1-2 minute 'dance time' video (viewed only as screen shared by Teacher). This is a fun way to connect but also gives learners a brain break & a chance to get their wiggles out. 🔶 This curriculum is structured for a 4-day week schedule for those who thrive with a 3-day weekend. This helps keep young students excited to learn & avoid school burnout. Fridays are great for field trips, visiting friends, or special home activity. 🔶 Class is a positive environment where I encourage, praise learners, and share positive affirmations to boost confidence. ~ Class Time Details ~ ✓ Greet each other ~ Ice breaker question ~ Sing our hello song ~ Discuss weather & calendar ✨Monday - New Letter • Phonics • Reading • Show & Tell ✨Tuesday - Math • Story Time • Show & Tell ✨Wednesday - New Letter • Phonics • Reading • Show & Tell ✨Thursday - Math • Letter Review • Show & Tell 🦄 Show & Tell is always a favorite, so we end each class with a time to share. This is a great opportunity to enhance our social skills such as: listening, public speaking, taking turns, and positive encouragement. It also provides connection with our friends in class. Your child may share their work from class or a special toy. ✏️ Optional worksheets & free printables are provided to use either in class or after as a learning extension & enrichment. 📎 Mute Function: During lesson instruction, I may mute learners so all can hear me. Please help your child mute if they have background noise (e.g., parents/siblings talking or microphone feedback). I use the mute function to help students learn to take turns with their peers & assist in answering questions. 🙋🏼♀️ Taking turns and raising hands are vital classroom skills. During our lesson, learners may raise their hand to ask a question about our lesson or answer a question. I encourage learners to raise their hand at certain times to answer questions, and other times we will answer together. ❗️If you miss a class, don't worry! You may watch the class recording at your convenience. The playback is usually posted in the classroom within 2 hours after our meeting. ⭐️ Classroom Management ⭐️ 🔸 Class time is balanced with structure, engaging social fun, and interactive activities. 🔸 All students have a chance to check in and say hello at the beginning of class before we start our lesson. When learners come into class after the lesson has begun, I will joyfully greet them, and we will continue with our lesson. Once we start our lesson, learners can save their fun things they want to share until the end of class during our sharing time. 🔸 I mute learners as needed to minimize background distractions, so all students can have the same opportunity to hear and learn. 🔸 Parents please help your children know how to mute/unmute. I can prompt them to unmute, but I can not do so from my side. ⏰ This class may occasionally go over 5 minutes.
