El club de Los Chiquitos (A Club for the Little Ones) is a club for beginners who are between the ages of 3-6 years old.  In this ongoing club students will experience theme based lessons with fun and engaging activities.  In these lessons, students will learn the alphabet, numbers, vowels, and practice commonly used Spanish phrases to increase their Spanish vocabulary and sing along in Spanish.  In this club, the little ones learn through illustrations, phrases, activities, songs, games, math, and stories.

During each lesson, learners have the opportunity to practice pronunciation, are exposed to essential grammar rules while learning new content.   This is also an opportunity for young learners to start building foundational literacy skills, vocabulary, and phrases while engaging in fun activities. Learners will have the opportunity to learn the Alphabet, complete activities to build their vocabulary, count in Spanish, read and sing along and answer questions in Spanish.  

Lesson Sample/Overview:
Learners will start each lesson  by singing a song in order to get familiarized with the new vocabulary pertaining to the lesson and recall the vocabulary better while learning how to pronounce words.  Learners will have the opportunity to participate  verbal activities in order to practice pronunciation during teacher to student interaction.  Learners will learn and practice reading stories and learn phrases.  There will be activities for Spanish Math (counting, answering word problems, matching activities or memory games). Learners will have the opportunity for spelling activities to reinforce the alphabet.    In addition, learners will read a book with pictures written by "La Profesora" pertaining to the theme to answer comprehension questions and reinforce the lesson.

Learning Goals
The learning goals for each student will depend on their individual needs and may include a variety of objectives. Some of these objectives may include reading along, mastering the alphabet with the correct sound of each letter, listening to proper pronunciation by watching videos, listening to songs, and audio clips, as well as learning numbers and practicing Spanish math.
