Beginner Level
Our Pre-K class focuses on foundational skills that prepare children for kindergarten and beyond, including: -Early Literacy: Learning letters, sounds, and sight words. -Math Fundamentals: Counting, patterns, shapes, and number recognition. -Fine and Gross Motor Skills: Through fun activities like drawing, cutting, and simple physical challenges. -Science Exploration: Basic concepts like weather, animals, and plants. The curriculum will include weekly themes, such as: **Nothing related to holiday celebrations** ⇢ Week of January 13, 2025: "Seasons and Weather" (4 seasons, describe weather conditions, hands-on crafts like cutting a snowflake) ⇢ Week of January 20, 2025: "Pets" (name the pets, hands-on crafts like paper puppy, how to take care of pets) ⇢ Week of January 27, 2025: "Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, Turn Around" (bring your teddy bear to class, types of bears, what bears eat) ⇢ Week of February 3, 2025: "I Love My Family" (family members, mom/dad/sister/brother/baby, baby shark songs) ⇢ Week of February 10, 2025: "Food and Mealtimes" (breakfast/lunch/dinner/dessert, morning/afternoon/evening, fruit party: show and tell your favorite fruit) ⇢ Week of February 17, 2025: "Outer Space Adventure" (planets, stars, rocket ships) ⇢ Week of February 24, 2025: "Zoo Animals" (elephant, lemur, rhino, giraffe, lion, name the animals, learn fun facts) Future themes may include: -"Under the Sea" (oceans, marine animals, and creative drawing) -"Community Helpers" (firefighters, doctors, teachers, etc.) -"Beach Week" -"Insects" -"Around the Farm" -"Compound Words" -"Plants" -"Pete the Cat" -"Dr. Seuss" -"Dinosaur Roar" I combine enthusiasm, patience, and creativity to build a warm and exciting classroom. My teaching style is: -Encouraging: Every child is celebrated for their efforts and successes. -Interactive: Each session is hands-on, using visuals, props, and storytelling to captivate attention. -Engagement Through Movement: Kids will sing, dance, and move during lessons. -Games and Challenges: Reinforce learning with virtual games and real-world tasks. -Parent Involvement: Optional activities to extend learning at home. This program is designed to spark a love for learning, helping your child build confidence, curiosity, and key skills in a joyful, supportive environment.

Parental Guidance
As part of our curriculum, we will be incorporating scissors in some of the upcoming activities. While we make every effort to ensure the safety of the children, we kindly ask that you remind your child of the importance of using scissors carefully. As needed, please closely supervise your child's use of scissors to ensure proper handling at all times.
Additionally, please note that there will be no material related to holiday celebrations in our classroom. All content will be age-appropriate and focused on providing engaging, educational experiences that are developmentally suitable for our little learners.

Our Pre-K class encourages creativity and hands-on learning with simple crafts and projects that use everyday materials typically found at home. Here’s a list of versatile items we’ll use throughout the program: -Markers and Crayons (For coloring, drawing, and decorating crafts.) -Pencils and Erasers (For practicing writing.) -Plain White Paper (A blank canvas for art, cutting, folding, and writing.) -Colored Paper (Great for creating shapes, and colorful crafts.) -Scissors (Child-Safe: Used for cutting paper into shapes, strips, or patterns.) -Glue Sticks or Liquid Glue (To assemble craft projects.) -Paper Plates (Turn them into animals or other crafts.) I’ll also provide simple printable worksheets aligned with the themes we cover. These may include: -Letter tracing sheets. -Number recognition activities. -Shape-cutting templates. -Coloring pages that fit weekly topics (e.g., animals, seasons). These items are: -Easy to Find: Most are already at home. -Multi-Purpose: Can be used for a variety of projects and themes. -Age-Appropriate: Safe and manageable for little hands. By using these everyday materials, we make crafts accessible, fun, and meaningful while ensuring parents don’t need to go out of their way to gather supplies.
