Mathematicians will work together in an ongoing student-led, teacher-facilitated workroom to problem solve through Pre-Calculus. May be taken as a complete Pre-Calculus class or may supplement a traditional class. Prerequisite: Algebra II

Mathematicians in the Pre-Calculus Problem Solving Workroom will be able to use math skills to solve a variety of problems related to Pre-Calculus topics, which includes nonlinear motion and nonlinear functions, circular motion and functions that describe it, ellipses and hyperbolas, exponential and logarithmic functions, matrices and geometric transformations, trigonometric functions and other Pre-Calculus topics. Students will be able to confidently problem solve using previously acquired mathematics skills and support from peers. Students will be able to explore new Pre-Calculus concepts through inquiry methods. Students will be able to present solutions and conclusions to peers.
