Homework
2-4 hours per week. I will assign four practice sheets per week and provide answer keys. If the student finds the assigned work too basic I will provide more challenging assignments. I will post a midweek problem that the students can work on together or submit individual answers.Assessment

I will release video taped lessons with formatted notes and practice sheets at the beginning of each week. Students are encouraged to post questions on the classroom and students and myself will address all questions in a collaborative forum. I will post a challenge problem mid week that the students can tackle together or submit individual solutions. The students can interact and engage at the level that they are comfortable with. I can be available to conference with students if necessary. The content covered in the eight week session will include: Week one -Factors an Prime Factorization (day 1), Greatest Common Factor (day 2), Equivalent Fractions (day 3) and Least Common Multiple (day 4) Week two - Rules of Exponents (day 1), Negative an Zero Exponents (day 2), Scientific Notation (day 3) and Operations and Scientific Notation (day 4) Week three - Rational Numbers (day 1), Adding and Subtracting Like Fractions (day 2), Adding and Subtracting Unlike Fractions (day 3), Multiplying Fractions (day 4) Week four - Dividing Fractions (day 1), Using the Multiplicative Inverse to Solve Equations (day 2), Equations and Inequalities with Rational Numbers (day 3) and Ratios and Rates (day 4) Week five - Writing and Solving Proportions (day 1), Direct Variation and Inverse Variation (day 2), Solving Proportions Using Cross Products (day 3) and Similar and Congruent Figures (day 4) Week six - Similarity and Measurement (day 1), Scale Drawings (day 2), Probability and Odds (day 3) and The Multiplication Principle (day 4). Week seven - Percents and Fractions (day 1), Percents and Proportions (day 2), Percents and Decimals (day 3) and The Percent Equation (day 4). Week eight - Percent Change (day 1), Percent Applications (day 2), Simple an Compound Interest (day 3) and Unit Review (day 4).
