Description

Class Experience

This class is part 2 of 4 all about pre-algebra.  In this class, the learner will gain the building blocks needed to move forward and be prepared for algebra and other math concepts.  We will be talking about ratios, proportions, fraction to decimal conversion, scale drawings,
percent, finding the percent of a number, fraction to percent conversion, percent decrease, discounts and sale price, percent increase, calculating mark-up, simple interest, commission, percents less than 1, profits and...

Each week the learner will be given a practice sheet for the student to complete on their own time.  It should take 30 to 60 minutes to complete the entire practice sheet.

paper and pencil are needed for each class

The student may want to take notes in a notebook but it is not required.  A basic calculator may come in handy for some of the more challenging concepts and problems. 

I will supply the practice sheets in the classroom every week. In the final week, I will include an answer sheet so the learner can check their work on their own.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
