US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In "Little Hands, Big Skills," preschoolers embark on an exciting journey of learning and discovery as they master practical life skills essential for independence and success. This learning with play interactive and engaging class is designed to empower young learners with the confidence and capabilities to navigate everyday tasks with ease.

Mastering the art of tying their shoes, learning proper table etiquette, setting the table, potting seeds and watering plants, cleaning up, and even basic cooking skills.. each session offers a valuable opportunity for growth and learning. Classes will be taught prerecorded with educator Miss. Brea through lectures, games, and video clips.

Each class will foster previous weeks lesson strengthening children's understanding and abilities.

Syllabus

4 Lessons
over 4 Weeks
Lesson 1:
Table Etiquette and Setting the Table
 Children will engage in hands-on activities and interactive lessons designed to teach them the basics of table etiquette and setting the table. Saying "please" and "thank you," sitting properly at the table, and using utensils correctly.
Through fun games, role-playing, and creative projects, preschoolers will also learn how to set the table like pros! They will practice placing plates, utensils, napkins, and glasses in the proper position, fostering a sense of independence and responsibility. 
Lesson 2:
Tea Party and Clean Up
 The week begins with a festive tea party, where students will have the opportunity to showcase their table-setting skills from last week's lesson. Carefully arranging plates, utensils, napkins, and cups, paying close attention to detail. Once the table is set, children will gather together to enjoy a delicious snack and show and tell. 
The fun doesn't stop there! After snack time, students will tackle the clean-up. Using their guided clean-up steps. 
Lesson 3:
Planting Seeds and Clean up
 Our preschool class will explore the magic of planting seeds, all while reinforcing the importance of clean-up at the end of class. students will learn about the life cycle of plants and the essential elements they need to grow. They'll discover the joy of getting their hands dirty as they plant seeds for their plant of choice, water them, and care for them as they begin to sprout and grow. Students will gain valuable gardening skills and a deeper appreciation for the natural world around them. 
Lesson 4:
Garden Check and Tying Shoes
 This week, our focus shifts to a practical yet crucial life skill: tying shoes. Children will learn the steps involved in tying their shoes, from creating loops to making knots. As children encounter challenges along the way, they'll learn to overcome obstacles through trial and error, fostering a growth mindset and resilience. Throughout class, we'll incorporate fun games and activities that reinforce shoe tying skills in a playful way. "Shoe Tying Relay Races" is one example.
