Using live birds, this one-time class will teach young learners the basics about chickens: where they come from, what parts they have, what they eat, what they can do. Class will be interactive with lots of questions and answers. Students will also label a chicken diagram with parts of the bird. If they like, they can also color the page. Class will be structured as follows: Student introductions Parts of a chicken with live bird Brief slide show with chicken information Chicken part identification diagram This class is seasonal, and will only run when live birds are available! Students will need to bring a drawing utensil to class, and coloring pencils or crayons if they wish to color their diagram.
